PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly display information while securing a visual field of a user.SOLUTION: In an information display system having a transmission type head mounted display including a display/projection part for displaying an object in a state that the object is superposed on a background and an imaging part imaging both eyes of a user, a control part includes: a gazing point detection part detecting a gazing point of the user on the basis of the imaging data of both eyes of the user; a first determination part determining whether the user closely watches a virtual screen or closely watches the background behind the virtual screen, on the basis of the gazing point; a second determination part determining whether or not a view line region of the user and a display position of the object on the virtual screen overlap; and a display control part which, when the gazing point is moved, changes the display position and/or a display mode of the object on the basis of determination results of the first determination part and the second determination part.
