Provided is a device to device (D2D) discovery method enabling a first terminal in a first cell to discover a second terminal in a second cell without the relay of a base station. The first terminal receives information about a first resource for D2D discovery from a first base station of the first cell through a system information block (SIB) or radio resource control (RRC) message. And, the first terminal transmits a D2D discovery signal using the first resource.
