Provided in the present invention are a backlight unit preventing decrease in image quality caused by thermal expansion of a light guiding plate, and a liquid crystal display device including the same. The liquid crystal display device according to the present invention comprises a display pane displaying an image; a guide panel including a panel support part supporting edge part of the lower surface of the display panel; a backlight unit including a light guiding plate arranged on the lower part of the display panel with a gap, and making the light radiated from a light source module flow toward the display panel; and a lower case storing the backlight unit, and supporting the guide panel; and a bumper combined with the side surface of the light guiding plate, and sealing a space between the light guiding plate and the panel support part. |
