According to the present invention, disclosed is a shift control system for a mild hybrid vehicle and a method thereof capable of enhancing stability of a behavior by controlling an engine velocity using an ISG (Idle Stop and Go) depending on a state of fuel injection when a clutch is recombined after shifting gears to a target gear. The present invention comprises the steps of: determining whether a down shifting is executed during an operation of a mild hybrid vehicle; determining a control of fuel injection and output torque of the ISG when the down shifting is executed; synchronizing an engine RPM with drive shaft RPM of a transmission through a combination of the output torque of the ISG and the control of fuel injection according to the control of fuel injection. |
