<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent floating wreckage such as waste and driftwood from flowing to a water turbine by a grate screen even if the floating wreckage comes and further prevent the floating wreckage from being accumulated at the grate screen.SOLUTION: A power generating water turbine 3 is installed near one riverside 2 of a river 1 and a grate screen 4 for removing waste is installed to surround the water turbine 3 from the riverside 2. The grate screen 4 extends from a part positioned upstream of the water turbine 3 at the riverside 2 in a slant downstream direction, and further the grate screen 4 is installed to enclose the side and the rear side of the water turbine 3. In addition, the inner surface of the grate screen 4 facing to the water turbine 3 is provided with a water conveyance plate 5 extending in a slant downstream direction to guide water flow at the central part of the river 1 toward the water turbine 3. Further, water conveyance plates 6, 7 are also installed at the riverside 2. Facility including the water turbine 3, grate screen 4, water conveyance plates 5 to 7 as described above is also installed at the downstream position of another riverside 2 opposite to the aforesaid riverside 2.</p> |
