摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method for securing flatness of a platen surface in a printer in which spheres are disposed between a head unit and a platen unit and a platen gap is secured, and further to propose an adjustment jig.SOLUTION: A printer 1 supports each both ends of supporting rollers 85a through 85e supporting a horizontal belt portion 81a constituting a platen surface 8a by a first lateral plate 84a and a second lateral plate 84b. Platen side contact portions 89a through 89c onto which three spheres 19 for securing a platen gap are mounted are formed on the first lateral plate 84a and the second lateral plate 84b. The first lateral plate 84a is fixed to a side frame 83a of a platen unit 8, and the second lateral plate 84b is rotatably mounted to a supporting shaft 83c provided to the side frame 83a. Leading ends of protrusions 32a through 32c of an adjustment jig 30 are brought into contact with platen side contact portions 89a through 89c, and an attitude of the second lateral plate 84b is adjusted and fixed such that the platen surface 8a is parallel to an adjustment reference surface 34 of the adjustment jig 30.</p>
