<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting apparatus for sheet materials which can cut with high accuracy and a compatibility of notches and sharp corner parts.SOLUTION: In a cutting apparatus for sheet materials, a sheet material is cut to an intended shape by holding the sheet material through suction on a cutting table and moving a cutting head along a cutting pattern designed preliminarily while causing a cutting blade provided in the cutting head to reciprocate vertically. The cutting apparatus for sheet materials has a control part which recognizes, from the cutting pattern, a cutting angle and a cutting line segment length formed by a cutting schedule line. The control part determines a notch when the cutting angle and the cutting segment line length are smaller than the cutting angle and the cutting segment line length set preliminarily and executes notch cutting control in cutting. The notch cutting control comprises rotating the cutting blade according to the shape of the notch in a state where the cutting blade penetrates the sheet material.</p> |
