<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type centrifugal separator which enables standardization of the product to be achieved without changing pressure-resistant design specifications of a bearing mechanism according to the set pressure in a casing.SOLUTION: A vertical centrifugal separator includes: a casing forming a container; a centrifugal separation bowl which is rotatably disposed in the casing; a rotary shaft of the bowl which is provided at the upper part side of the bowl and extends in a vertical axial direction; a driving device which is disposed at the exterior of the casing and rotates the rotary shaft; and a bearing mechanism which is disposed at an opening part of the casing and pivotally supports the rotary shaft penetrating through the opening part. The bearing mechanism includes: a housing enclosing the rotary shaft; a bearing which pivotally supports the rotary shaft; and a non-contact type shaft seal mechanism which is disposed at a casing side end part of the bearing mechanism and seals a clearance between the housing and the rotary shaft with a pressure gas.</p> |
