FIELD: food industry.SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to fodder production, in particular, to production of a fodder additive ensuring nutritive accessibility of metal for animals; the additive contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of glutamic N,N-diacetic acid (GLDA), a complex of a metal and GLDA, a GLDA sodium salt, a GLDA potassium salt, methylglycine-N,N-diacetic acid (MGDA), a complex of a metal and MGDA, a MGDA sodium salt and a MGDA potassium salt. The metal is selected from the group including zinc, copper, iron, manganese, cobalt, chrome, calcium and magnesium.
