Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for diagnosing errors in vehicle multimedia. The apparatus for diagnosing errors in the vehicle multimedia according to the present invention comprises an input unit to select an external connection unit to a vehicle multimedia apparatus and to input a data value for the selected unit to a control unit; a control unit to generate an error diagnosing code by receiving the data value for the unit selected from the input unit, to process masking at the error diagnosing code for a unit which is not selected, and to control a display not to display the error diagnosing code even if the unit corresponding to the error diagnosing code in which the masking is processed is determined that is not connected normally when the error diagnosing function is inputted from the input unit; and a storage unit to store an error diagnosing code generated from the control unit and an error diagnosing code in which the masking is processed. |
