METHOD FOR FORMING A VECTOR BEAM USING MULTIPLE OMNI-DIRECTIONAL HYDRO-PHONES

The present invention relates to a sensor technology of a towed array sonar system and, more specifically, to a method for forming vector beams by forming a cardioid beam in a sensor formed with multiple omni-directional hydro-phones without having an accelerometer. According to the present invention, the method for forming vector beams can generate a vector hydro-phone which does not have the accelerometer by forming an acceleration vector or a speed through the combination of the hydro-phone when a sensor is formed with only the omni-directional hydro-phone.
