The process of treating a cooling circuit (10) through which a cold fluid flows, comprises performing an ion exchange reaction to collect ion fluoride present in the cold fluid in a specified location of the circuit. The ion exchange reaction is performed using ion exchange resins including zeolite. The ion exchange resin is associated to another treatment agent such as corrosion inhibitor. The specified location is present inside a vessel of an expansion tank of the circuit having a degassing product. Independent claims are included for: (1) a device for treating a cooling circuit; and (2) a heat exchanger (18) for the cooling circuit.
