The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the size of a reel by making a carrier tape thin. An electronic component package includes: a carrier tape in which a plurality of concave electronic component holding portions (220) are provided in a long base material (22a) made of a resin so that the electronic component holding portions include openings on one surface of the base material and bulge outward on the other surface of the base material; and a cover tape (23) adhering to the one surface of the carrier tape (22) so as to cover the openings in each electronic component holding portion (220). A thickness dimension (T2) of a base portion of the electronic component holding portion (220) is smaller than a thickness dimension (T1) of the base material (22a).
