The present invention provides a secondary battery, comprising: an electrode assembly having a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material coating portion on at least one surface of a positive electrode collector, and a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material coating portion on at least one surface of a negative electrode collector, wherein the positive and negative electrodes are wound in a jelly roll structure so as to face each other with a separation film interposed therebetween; and a positive electrode tab and a negative electrode tab electrically connected to the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector respectively, and protruding to the outside of the electrode assembly. The positive electrode collector has an intermittent blank portion which has no positive electrode active material coating portion on a part of a portion corresponding to a curved surface when the positive electrode has been wound.
