Disclosed are a method for filtering ground data and an apparatus thereof. The apparatus comprises: a sensor which receives data about objects around a vehicle; a storage part which stores the received data and predetermined standards; and a processing part which compares the received data and predetermined standards, and filters the data about the objects which are judged to represent the ground among the objects around the vehicle.
