The present invention relates to a vertical type step-lap stacker used for a transformer core stacking work, and stacking and supplying the unit core in a step-lap unit. The vertical type step-lap stacker where a unit core stacking support and a step-lap stacking support are vertically arranged is disclosed. The present invention provides the vertical type step-lap stacker which comprises: the unit core stacking support where the unit core is stacked; the step-lap stacking support arranged on an upper portion of the unit core stacking support where the unit core in the step-lap unit is stacked; and a core transfer unit transferring the unit core of the unit core stacking support to the step-lap stacking support.
