Provided are an apparatus and a method for transmitting data in the air. A queue managing part manages at least one queue stored in the information on at least one buffer descriptor (BD). A scheduler estimates information to be transmitted among multiple pieces of information on MPDU by using at least one TX bitmap. A data transmitting part reads the information on the MPDU estimated from the information on the BD indicated on at least one transmission bit map and transmits it to a physical layer. Thereby, a physical layer managing part generates the information on a PLCP protocol data unit (PPDU) by using the information on the MPDU transmitted to the physical layer.
