摘要 The present invention relates to chitosan beads for phosphorous removal and a manufacturing method thereof, which improves absorption reactivity with respect to phosphates by crosslinking chitosan molecules through transition metal ions and simultaneously immobilizing transition metal ions to chitosan beads, and effectively removes phosphates even if a low concentration of phosphates exists in water. According to the present invention, the manufacturing method of chitosan beads for phosphorus removal comprises: a step of manufacturing a chitosan solution by mixing chitosan powders containing an amine group in an acid solution; a step of forming chitosan beads by hardening the chitosan solution; and a step of inducing chelate bond between transition metal ions and the amine group by mixing chitosan beads in an aqueous solution of hydrate. Therefore, a chitosan polymer is cross-linked by transition metal ions due to the chelate bond between transition metal ions and the amine group, and transition metal ions act as a functional group which is available for a ligand bond.
