PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery in which burst and firing of a battery are suppressed even when subjected to external impact, and projection of an electrode body to the outside of the battery is prevented.SOLUTION: A center pin inserted into the core of an electrode body, formed by winding a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator interposed therebetween, is composed of an annealed metal. As such a metal, any one of aluminum, iron, nickel, titanium, stainless steel and carbon steel may be exemplified.
