PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent pest control effect.SOLUTION: A pyrazole compound represented by formula (1), where X is a trifluoromethyl group or a trifluoromethoxy group and Zand Zare the same or different to represent a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, provided that at least one of Zand Zis a fluorine atom. The pyrazole compound is useful as a pest control agent.
