<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a high-quality image by reducing occurrence of chip or burr at both ends of a cleaning member. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: an image carrier 2; an electrification member 90 that electrifies its surface; an exposure part that exposes the surface of the image carrier 2 after the electrification and forms an electrostatic latent image; a developing unit that develops the electrostatic latent image and forms a toner image on the surface of the image carrier 2; a transfer member that contacts the surface of the image carrier 2 through a transferred material; a cleaning member 32 that contacts the surface of the image carrier 2 after the transfer and cleans the surface of the image carrier 2; a rotary drive mechanism that drives the image carrier 2 to be rotated; and an axial direction location changing mechanism that causes the image carrier 2 to reciprocate in an axis direction X-Y of a rotational axis and forms a discharge relaxation area 100 near both ends in the axis direction X-Y of the electrification member 90. The length in the axis direction X-Y of the cleaning member 32 is longer than that of the electrification member 90, and both ends 32a in the axis direction of the cleaning member 32 is located within a range of the discharge relaxation area 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
