<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a carton in which an article to be stored is not stored from being distributed. <P>SOLUTION: A cartoning machine includes: a carton conveyor 31 that conveys the carton C; an article to be stored conveyor 21 that conveys the article R to be stored along the carton conveyor 31; an insertion device 41 that inserts the article R to be stored into the carton C; a mutual inspection sensor 51 arranged more on an upstream side than an insertion completion point EP of the article R to be stored to the carton C and simultaneously carrying out the detection of the carton C and the article R to be stored; an area sensor 55 that detects the presence/absence of the carton C from a virtual orthogonal line VSL to the insertion completion point EP; and a control device for carrying out a control that does not permit the restarting of the carton conveyor 31 and the article to be stored conveyor 21 till the absence of the carton C is detected by the area sensor 55 after they are temporarily stopped. Operation of a line while the article R to be stored corresponding to the carton C is not present at the article to be stored conveyor 21 is securely avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
