<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw press type dehydration apparatus that easily and safely performs operation to dig up dehydrated cake clogging in a dehydration cake outlet. <P>SOLUTION: When dehydrated cake D clogs in a dehydrated cake outlet 15, a driving rod 39 of a hydraulic cylinder 35 is driven to move back, and an entering/exiting member 29 is moved away from the dehydrated cake outlet 15 and stopped at a retraction position where the entering/exiting member 29 retracts to outside the dehydrated cake outlet 15. When the entering/exiting member 29 moves to the retraction position, a cavity 12 is formed where the entering/exiting member 29 enters, so that the dehydrated cake D which is pressed and made hard in a gap 10 is left in a ring shape. Pressure applied to the dehydrated cake D in the gap 10 can be released to the cavity 12 and the dehydrated cake D can be easily raked out of the gap 10.
