<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satchel that is easy to shoulder on the back and that causes no tiredness, by making a feeling of pressure on the waist lighter to a level of 70-80% and reducing a bodily sensation of a load on the whole body including the waist, shoulder, etc. <P>SOLUTION: In the satchel having a satchel body and two shoulder straps, each shoulder strap 2 is bisected in the thickness direction of the shoulder strap at the end on the shoulder side. Of the bisected shoulder straps; (a) the tip end of an inner strap 2A on the inside is rockably engaged through an open ring 5 situated away from a satchel back plate 4 surface in the normal direction of the plate 4; and (b) the tip end of an outer strap 2B on the outside is locked with a rivet 6 on the satchel back plate 4 surface.
