A control valve with a flow-dividing valve 25 comprising a piston landed at 26 and 27 and ported at 30 whereby fluid from pump 16 continuously passes 30 to a first priority, e.g. steering motor 14, and reduction in pressure at 32 23 downstream of 30 when motor 14 does not require fluid, allows pressure above land 27 together with the pressure drop across 30 to move valve 25 downwards against spring 22 to pass the surplus fluid flow to a secondary motor 15, is characterized by fluid passing from pump 16 to first, motor 14 independently of the dividing valve via a " priority " valve 55 which connects passages 44, 46, restriction 51 and passages 48, 23 when increased pressure at 32 acts via 62 on piston 54 to shift valve 55 leftwards against spring 58. Restriction 51 is adjustable with different orifice plugs or by a screwed needle valve. Passage 32 connects with sump 17 via relief valve 68.</p> |
