PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode which can impart a superior endurance to a dye-sensitized solar battery; and dye-sensitized solar battery having such an electrode.SOLUTION: An electrode 20 is used for a dye-sensitized solar battery 100 having an electrolyte 40. The electrode 20 comprises: a base material 21; a catalyst layer 22 which electrochemically reacts with an electrolyte 40; and a resin layer 23 provided between the base material 21 and the catalyst layer 22. The transmittance of the electrolyte 40 in the resin layer 23 is smaller than that of the electrolyte 40 in the base material 21.
