PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine exhaust treatment device capable of preventing a matching surface between catalyst sections making up a flammable gas catalyst from heat damage.SOLUTION: In the engine exhaust treatment device, flammable gas is generated by a flammable gas generation catalyst 2 and exhaust with a temperature thereof increased by combustion of the flammable gas is supplied to an exhaust treatment section. The flammable gas generation catalyst 2 is made up of a group of a plurality of catalyst sections 2a and 2a. Each catalyst section 2a has a matching surface 2b abutting the same of a neighboring catalyst section 2a. A fastening ring 11 is externally fit on the flammable gas generation catalyst 2 with the matching surfaces 2b and 2b of the neighboring catalyst sections 2a and 2a abutted each other so that the neighboring matching surfaces 2b and 2b are firmly attached to each other by fastening force of the fastening ring 11.
