<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cast a slab of high quality over the whole in the width direction of the cast slab. <P>SOLUTION: One roll group I is composed of: two divided five reference side rolls; and three divided five reference side rolls. The two divided reference side rolls each have one non-contact part, and the three divided standard side rolls each have two non-contact parts. In the one roll group I, prescribed numbers or more of non-contact parts are arranged at mutually different positions in the width direction.
