<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red phosphor having high color purity by using a crystal matrix of silicate. <P>SOLUTION: Since the phosphor of this invention is an oxide, in comparison with a current phosphor using a sulfide or oxysulfide as a matrix crystal, improvement of stability in a vacuum condition is expected. Considering that a matrix crystal of a current red phosphor is an yttrium compound, reduction in material cost in manufacturing is expected. Red luminescence having higher color purity can be obtained in comparison with the current red phosphor. When Ce and Mn are added together, luminous efficiency (quantum efficiency) is improved. By changing quantity of Ba, a luminescent color and luminous intensity can be regulated easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
