摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote trapping of inclusion in molten steel to a slag by controlling the slag composition present on the molten steel in a tundish while suppressing the effect of plugging sand or ladle slag flowing out from a ladle to the tundish. <P>SOLUTION: A gate 4 for dividing a molten steel level 13 over the entire width of a tundish is arranged between a molten steel pouring point 6 of the tundish 1 and a molten steel flowing-out hole 7. Flux is added to the molten steel level on the downstream side of the gate so that the composition of the slag covering the molten steel level in the tundish on the downstream side of the gate satisfies the formulae (1) and (2); W<SB POS="POST">CaO</SB>/W<SB POS="POST">SiO2</SB>≥4.0 ...(1), 0.6×(W<SB POS="POST">Al2O3</SB>+M<SB POS="POST">Al2O3</SB>)≤W<SB POS="POST">CaO</SB>≤1.6×W<SB POS="POST">Al2O3</SB>...(2); where W<SB POS="POST">CaO</SB>, W<SB POS="POST">SiO2</SB>and W<SB POS="POST">Al2O3</SB>denote the mass (kg) of CaO, SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>and Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>in the slag, respectively, and M<SB POS="POST">Al2O3</SB>denotes the mass (kg) of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>in the molten steel in the ladle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
