A method of, at a receiver, receiving a signal from a transmitter in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes equalizing the signal received from the transmitter using a previously equalized measurement, and decoding the equalized signal. The step of equalizing the signal comprises extracting the signal received from the transmitter using a predetermined number of taps each having a value greater than predefined power.
