Class 126 A gas fire comprises a reflector 1 in front of which is disposed a burner having a porous or perforated refractory block 5 which may be frusto conical or may have a domed upper surface (not shown), above a gas and air mixing chamber 2. A domed screen 6 of wire gauze is mounted above the block 5. Alternatively a layer of finely divided refractory material held between two upwardly domed wire gauzes may be substituted for the block 5. The reflector 1 may have an outlet vent for combustion gases. |
