PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unevenness in indoor temperature in a cooling operation.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a vertical wind direction plate 21 mounted on an indoor unit for controlling a wind direction in a vertical direction, a louver motor 22 for driving the vertical wind direction plate, a heat exchange sensor 11 detecting a temperature of a heat exchanger disposed in the indoor unit, and an operating portion for selecting and operating a plurality of operation modes including at least an automatic cooling operation mode, and changing setting of wind direction and room temperature in each operation mode. A control portion is disposed to increase an air volume of an indoor fan and driving the vertical wind direction plate in a swinging manner for a second prescribed time, when the set room temperature is changed to be lowered by the operating portion after a first prescribed time from the start of the automatic cooling operation of the air conditioner under a condition that room temperature T1-heat exchange temperature T2<=prescribed temperature difference T3. |
