PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a configuration that can drive a pressure release mechanism with a motor 131 even when an opening/closing door of an image forming apparatus is opened, and interrupts the power supply to the motor 131 when a fixing device 100 is detached from an apparatus body.SOLUTION: A pressure release mechanism releases or reduces the pressure at a nip part of a fixing device 100. A motor 131 and a power source 120 that drive the pressure release mechanism are provided in an apparatus body. A power supply path 123 for supplying power from the power source 120 to the motor 131 extends through the inside of the fixing device 100 attached to the apparatus body. The power supply path 123 does not extend through an interlock switch, which interrupts power supply by the opening and closing of an opening/closing door, so as to supply power from the power source 120 to the motor 131 irrespective of the opening and closing of the opening/closing door. |
