<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a hood latch for a vehicle, configured to improve pedestrian protecting performance with a simple hood latch structure when a vehicle collides with a pedestrian.SOLUTION: A structure of a hood latch for a vehicle includes: a base plate attached to a front side of a vehicle body, having a fixation groove formed at an upper end so as to allow a striker coupled to a hood to enter and exit the fixation groove; a latch in which one end is hinge-coupled to a first side of the base plate and a hook is formed at the other end of the latch so as to be elastically supported by a first spring; a pole in which one end is hinge-coupled to the other side of the base plate, the other end is connected to a second spring for the pole to be elastically supported, and a flange is provided so as to restrict movement of the latch; a guide disposed laterally movable; and an actuator that moves the guide laterally. The actuator is started to move the guide by a detecting sensor when a vehicle collides with a pedestrian. The other side of the guide rotates the pole, to unlock the latch, thereby popping up the hood.</p> |
