<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a blur occurring in a captured image so that noise may not be perceived from the captured image.SOLUTION: A noise dispersionσis derived on the basis of an exposure condition at image capture time, and a noise image is generated in which noise corresponding to the noise dispersionσis superposed on the captured image. Information about a spatial frequency having sensitivity in human visual perception is extracted from each of the captured image and the noise image, and the captured image and the noise image are divided for each of a plurality of spatial frequency bands. The noise image divided for each of the plurality of spatial frequency bands is masked on the basis of the captured image divided for each of the plurality of spatial frequency bands and synthesized, then the amount of noise perception P(x,y) is calculated. An amount of correction necessary for correcting a blur in the captured image is determined on the basis of the amount of noise perception P(x,y).</p> |
