<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manuscript reading system which improves usability when acquiring scan data in a server device through a terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal device comprises a protocol change request creation part creating a protocol change request for causing a communication protocol to be changed from the HTTP to a bidirectional protocol, and a terminal communication part transmitting the protocol change request to a server device. The server device comprises an optical read part optically reading a manuscript to create scan data, a server storage part holding the scan data, and a server communication part transmitting a protocol change response to the terminal device on the basis of the protocol change request and changing the communication protocol to the bidirectional protocol. The terminal communication part changes the communication protocol to the bidirectional protocol on the basis of the protocol change response. The server communication part transmits, after the communication protocol migrates to the bidirectional protocol, new scan data to the terminal device every time the new scan data is stored in the server storage part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
