<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that restrains the amount of power consumption of a sensor while shortening a time required for state confirmation of the sensor at a controller.SOLUTION: A communication system includes a sensor and a controller that are able to communicate with each other. The sensor includes: a sensor communication unit for communicating with the controller; a state notification unit for notifying the controller of a state change when the sensor has changed a state between a first state and a second state; a transmission deterrent unit for deterring the state notification unit from giving notice of a new state change for a prescribed period in response to a state change from the first state to the second state of the sensor; and a state reply unit for notifying the controller of a current state of the sensor in response to state inquiry from the controller. The controller includes: a communication unit for communicating with the sensor; a storage unit for storing a state of the sensor; and a state inquiry unit for receiving the current state of a sensor by performing state inquiry to the sensor whose second state is stored in the storage unit among sensors.</p> |
