<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device equipped with a belt position control mechanism capable of maintaining the tension of a transfer belt always constant even when three kinds of printing mode, non-printing, a single-color, and a multi-color, are switched by moving the transfer belt position.SOLUTION: The image formation device comprises: four photoreceptor drums 10 which are juxtaposed; a transfer belt 8 cyclically moving in contact with each of the photoreceptor drums 10; a primary black transfer roller 23k disposed inside the transfer belt 8 in correspondence with each of the photoreceptor drums 10; primary color transfer rollers 23c, 23m, 23y; and a belt position control mechanism 43, disposed inside the transfer belt 8, for movably holding the primary black transfer roller 23k and the primary color transfer rollers 23c, 23m, 23y independently of each other, and changing the position of the transfer belt 8 to a non-printing mode, a monochrome printing mode, and a color printing mode, the belt position control mechanism 43 maintaining the tension of the transfer belt 8 constant when changing the position of the transfer belt 8 between the three kinds of printing modes.</p> |
