<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for driving an electrolytic capacitor, by which the electrolytic capacitor having a low impedance property and suppressing product expansion in solder reflow can be obtained, and to provide the electrolytic capacitor using the same. <P>SOLUTION: An electrolyte for driving an electrolytic capacitor contains an ionic compound including tricyanomethide anion and cation expressed by Rs-LH<SP POS="POST">+</SP>(L expresses one element selected from a group of C, Si, N, P, S, and O.
