<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which prevents the occurrence of sheet jam caused by sheets overloaded in a paper feeding cassette. <P>SOLUTION: Generally, an image forming device includes: a paper feeding tray; a tray-up mechanism; a first sensor; a second sensor; a display part; and a control part. The paper feeding tray is in the paper feeding cassette, and sheets are mounted thereon. The tray-up mechanism raises the paper feeding tray. The first sensor detects a rise start of the paper feeding tray. The second sensor detects arrival at a paper feeding position of the paper feeding tray. The control part measures a time from the detection of the rise start of the paper feeding tray by the first sensor to the detection of the arrival at the paper feeding position of the paper feeding tray as a tray-up time, and when the tray-up time is shorter than a lower limit tray-up time set as a value when a maximum setting load of sheets are loaded on the paper feeding tray, the control part displays a notice in which the sheets are overloaded on the paper feeding tray in the display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
