PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive substance removal method capable of efficiently removing radioactive substances in the soil, and a removal device.SOLUTION: The radioactive substance removal device is configured to separate contaminated soil 1 containing radioactive substances into radioactive substances and treatment soil. The removal device includes: a dredger 2 for removing the contaminated soil; an agitation processing device 5 for agitating a mixture that results from mixing cleaning water and a surfactant with the removed contaminated soil 1, while supplying air thereto; and a classification device 6 for classifying the contaminated soil mixture after the agitation into coarse grains and fine grains. By the separation using the surfactant and the separation using agitation while supplying compression air, cesium is separated from the coarse grains of the contaminated soil 1, and the separated cesium is moved to the fine grains of the contaminated soil 1. The coarse grains and the fine grains are then separated, coarse grains of a low cesium concentration is obtained and can be recycled. |
