PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mountless label printer that can print pop data in a pop print area for each label to be issued without putting a mark for identification such as an eye mark on mountless label paper in advance, and to provide mountless label paper.SOLUTION: The mountless label printer includes a mountless label paper attaching part, and a print issuing part which pulls out long-length belt type label paper set in the mountless label paper attaching part, and has a print head arranged to be orthogonal to a pulling-out direction of the mountless label paper 6, wherein print data is printed on the pulled-out mountless label paper by the print head, and the mountless label paper is cut and a mountless label of a single sheet is issued. The mountless label paper 2a has the pop print areas 7 continuous in a length direction of the paper, and the print data is printed in the pop print area 7 by controlling the direction of the print data so that the top and bottom of a character of the print data may turn to the width direction of the mountless label paper. |
