PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and stably obtain an L-shape component which has a hat cross section shape even if a metal plate composed of a high-tensile material which is low in ductility and super high in hardness is used for a blank material.SOLUTION: This press molding method has a first press molding process for press-molding a metal plate 11 into a first press-molded part 27 having an intermediate shape by using a first metal mold 1, and a second press molding process for press-molding the first press-molded part 27 into a second press-molded part having a product shape. The first press-molded part 27 has a vertical wall hang-out part 29 at a vertical wall part 23 at the outside including an L-shaped bent part, and a ceiling plate hang-out part 31 at the outside of a ceiling plate part 21 of the L-shaped bent part. A curvature radius of the vertical wall hang-out part 29 is larger than a curvature radius of the L-shaped bent part of the press-molded part 19, and a curvature radius of a shoulder part continuous to the ceiling plate hang-out part 31 is larger than a curvature radius of a shoulder part continuous to the outside of the ceiling plate part 21 of the L-shaped bent part of the press-molded part 19. |
