<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve focusing quality and achieve stable focusing in moving image photographing using an image plane phase detection AF system.SOLUTION: A focus control device includes; focus information output means which outputs focus information (defocus amount/correlation value) corresponding to each of a plurality of regions within one area within a picked-up image; and control means which uses each of a plurality of pieces of focus information to output one piece of defocus information corresponding to the area, and performs focus control on the basis of the output defocus information. The control means reduces weighting of a plurality of pieces of focus information having greater deviations, among the plurality of pieces of output focus information, and outputs the one piece of defocus information.</p> |
