PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a decorative molded body that can easily impart fine convexoconcave showing matte-tone appearance to the surface of a resin molded body and to provide a decorative molded article produced by the method.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a decorative molded body comprises the steps of: preparing a base material 5 forming a cap 1; forming a first topcoat layer 7 directly or through another layer on the surface of the base material 5; and further forming a second topcoat layer 8 on the first topcoat layer. When forming the second topcoat layer 8, a coating material for a second topcoat is cured while being repelled from the surface of the first topcoat layer to thereby impart fine foamy convexoconcave to the resultant second topcoat layer 8.
