Disclosed are a method and device for playing a webpage video. The method comprises: when video search data input by a user is received, recognizing a video keyword from the video search data; judging whether the recognized video keyword is present in a local video word list, the local video word list indicating a correlation between video keywords supported by at least one video content server and keyword identifiers; if the video keyword is present in the local video word list, querying a keyword identifier of the video keyword from the local video word list, and sending the keyword identifier to the video content server to conduct information querying; receiving a query result comprising a video playing address, which is returned by the video content server, popping up an interactive window, and displaying the query result in the interactive window; and when a video playing instruction sent by a user to the interactive window is received, loading a webpage video corresponding to the video playing address and invoking a corresponding video plug-in to play the webpage video. |
