The present invention enables problem-free recovery of filtered objects, even when used with objects to be strained that have low water content and high adhesive properties, such as sweet potatoes that are softened by heating with superheated steam. The present invention includes: a covering body (26) that is supported so as to be rotatable around the central axis thereof, has a vertical inner peripheral surface that has a circular cross-section, and is separated by an appropriate interval from and surrounds the perimeter of a straining vessel (3); a scraping member (22) that is at a prescribed position along the inner peripheral surface of the covering body and that, as the covering body rotates, is for scraping off filtered objects that adhere to the inner peripheral surface; and a rotation driving mechanism that is for rotating the straining vessel and the covering body. The present invention is thereby configured such that, when the straining vessel rotates, filtered objects that adhere to the inner peripheral surface of the covering body after being expelled from filtering through-holes (3d) are scraped off at the prescribed position along the circumference of the inner peripheral surface. |
