PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoclonal antibody highly specific for sugar chain-deficient IgA1 characteristic of IgA nephropathy, which is useful in examination of IgA nephropathy etc.SOLUTION: Provided is a monoclonal antibody against sugar chain deficient human IgA1, that specifically recognizes human IgA1 hinge region to which a sugar chain not containing sialic acid and galactose is bonded.
