<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium reproducer for precisely determining propriety of simple resumption reproduction of content being a reproduction target.SOLUTION: A medium reproducer includes: a retrieval key information acquisition section 15 for acquiring retrieval key information which identifies an optical disk d; a simple resumption propriety information retrieval section 16 for retrieving simple resumption propriety information showing whether simple resumption reproduction for resuming reproduction from a position where reproduction is stopped can be performed or not by using the retrieval key information without starting a Java (R) program on content when the content which is read from the optical disk d is the content whose reproduction can be controlled by the Java program; and a reproduction control section 14 for performing simple resumption reproduction of content data of the optical disk d when the simple resumption propriety information shows that reproduction can be performed.</p> |
